America’s second favorite walking traffic accident is announcing that she’ll be showing us her naughty bits (again, but on purpose this time) in order to establish herself as a “serious actress.”

Troubled Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan is planning to appear naked in an low-budget film in an effort to revive her flailing career, it has been claimed.

The actress is said to have agreed to strip down for just £40,000 for the indie film Florence to prove herself as a “mature actress”.

The 21-year-old, who previously played a pole dancer in the box-office flop I Know Who Killed Me, has reportedly agreed to “full frontal” nudity in her role as a nymphomaniac waitress in the drama.

Somehow, I don’t think Mean Girls makes you Katherine Hepburn, or even Angelina Jolie. But we’ve come to a point where a twenty-something actress’s people are actually saying publicly that she’s getting naked in order to be taken seriously. There has been speculation for years that young actresses will take on roles involving nudity in order to grow out of a teeny-bopper stereotype, but I think Lindsay Lohan probably passed that station on the typecasting train somewhere around her second stint in rehab.

All of that being said, it probably won’t work anyway. The people who really want to see Lindsay Lohan naked are going to just download the scenes off whatever website or file-sharing network they can find them on. Umm…If anybody gets that URL, let me know.
